My strategy is 12 rgs.

That is all.

Inf strategies:

Weps: ar, sg, caw, incin, bullet mine, plasma mine, frag/wp nade.

I have been experimenting and I currently have 2 setups, both weight exactly 50.00 kg.

Setup 1 (the one I've used forever)
-p6/pf
-3 repulsor coil
-3 Ar/12 RG
-100 rifle ammo
-90 sg ammo
-sg mk II
-4 frag, 4 wp
-2 gizer
-1 stim

Setup 2 (which I made today)
-p6/pf
-3 repulsor coil
-1 repulsor charge
-2 Ar/8 RG ( NOT MAKLOV, too heavy)
-140 rifle ammo
-Incinerator
-100 fuel canister
-4 frag, 4 wp
-4 plasma mine
-2 gizer
-1 stim

I currently don't have any Cara/IDF setups, though I might try them in the future, the only problem is they weigh a lot more so it would reduce my arsenal.. lol

I also have a CAW setup but I haven't perfected it and I don't use it much so I'm not gonna post it.

Anyway, on to strategies:
I find that I don't use my sg that much lately, only on 1v1 or in the beginning of OVD when everyone is coming out of elevator. Anyway, it's good for drain and after 3 or so good hits you can usually hit someone with RG and most of the time they won't die. Instead of doing them in with another RG just fire a burst and if the triple hits right away they should cave in.

I have a habit of using RG for drain and then following with AR, though most people do it the other way, using the RG as a finisher. It really depends on who you are fighting. If you are going against an inf, then I would probably sg or rg them first to drain, and finish off with AR, but if I keep missing with AR, I'd hug them and nade or RG at close range.

If you're fighting a weak class then an RG probably would end them on contact i.e. med/infil/engy if not then just follow up with an AR burst. I use RG as a finisher more on the weak armor classes especially when you know they are drained of energy.

INCINERATOR
The incinerator has been beefed significantly, that is why I made my 2nd setup. It has a longer range, does not TK, and does plenty of drain/dmg. The only class it is useless against is Cara/IDF inf. It will not hurt them, only drain. Otherwise not only will it drain quickly, but it will usually damage them.

Incinerator = anti-support class. Perfect hugging/close-range weapon. Just run up to a heavy/med/infil and waste them. If they try running away hit them with AR or just finish them off with RG. A full burst will probably kill an infil and medic. It takes 2 or 3 to kill a heavy/engy.

That's all I can think of for now besides the basic LEARN 2 REP/STRAFE/NADE

Pros about a Combat Engineer
-can carry 60kg without being over weight
-can use many different types of mines
-has the ability to use teleport beacons

Cons about a Combat Engineer
-weak armor (easy to die, so learn to dodge really good)
-slow

Weapon’s Setup

how much each rets cost to make
rk = 50 tox
plasma = 20 tox
mg = 25 tox
sentry = o tox ( this is why u never ever repair a sentry )

where u should not put ur rets
1.never put ur rets close to walls or else it gets damaged more easily
2.try to put a mg in front of ur rk to protect the rk
3.use the two sentries as a shield for all ur rets
4.make sure to place rets where its hard for ur enemies to rpg/ac sinpe them, and hard for them to nade at the rets without getting them selves killed.

This is for Ul/OvD only

What to do at the start of the game
-do not but ur weapons for armors yet only have the nades on u and kits(in ul where u don’t get time to setup u would still do the same thing so u still have nades to fight ur nmes at the start, and once u have made ur rets then u should place a beacon and ds and sell ur kits and buy ur armor and weapons, I have but macros for my weapons and armor so its faster.

-.sell ur kits and but ur weapons


what to do when the game starts
1.once ur enemies start to push and u see the sl is alone at the back use ur beacon u placed earlier and flank him if u kill the sl go after the hvy and then the infs.
2.everytime u die u should buy rockets, tranq and etc. for ur team mates and mines for ur self and when u teleport home drop them on the ground use ?drop item:#, item:# to make the drop faster and also drop the mines u will be using later on so u don't go over weigh and drop a sentry
3.rep for u rets and hvys when need
4.make a suicide charge when need to save ur team from getting rolled
5.mine ur team gets a clear and when u get the mine field starting mining and place a teleport beacon there so u can mines faster the next time around.
6.because my setup is bit hvy u should only keep 50 tox on u and keep the rest on the ground, but pick up the tox once in a while and drop it again so it doesn't disappear
7.try to get more teleport beacons if u can so u can flank the enemy

things u should never do
1.don’t jus stay at the back and fire br and eb try to push and hunt the enemies sl/med
2.do not use the br unless u have drained the enemy and ur are not close enough to use inc
3.do not let ur rets die if u have no more reps left and ur teammate is too far away to rep for the ret in time than u should take the nade/rg/rpg and let it kill u instead of damaging the ret and hope that ur teammate can rep the next one
4.never ever repair the sentry, kill the sentry and make a new one

P.S. the best way to become a good ng is to spec a good ng I suggest redxll, attack, fuzor, drogba, ken, dox, ang/rush

Arc the more I read from you the more I find how we play the same but I would add : cara idf better than cmp6 pf for ovds/ul

riraito, your ratio in OvD is about 30-20 often. Can you say dodge > tank?

On their post at the top..there is a button called "quote"..click on that for whichever post you want to quote...and then it will bring you to the post reply screen and type whatever you want and then it'll be there

that's cuz in ovd i like to get in between all of them and run interference, in case you don't notice how i play.

people like jump^ who have ratios of like 30-5 stay back a lot and kill anyone who gets close. it's a very different style, but i get more kills plus he dses alot.

anyway i like to eat. ctfx taught me to tank with cara/idf lololol
